GOD is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an inability to meet God’s acceptable standards of righteousness. Since man’s first act of disobedience, he has suffered from a sinful nature. It’s this disposition that separates man from God. There is an existence of separation from God by sin, or an existence of unity with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally in union with God, is eternal life. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is present with men to make them aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is in every believer giving them understanding of spiritual truth and guidance. He is also, at times, upon the believers dynamically to empower them for ministry and energize them in their faith.
